Hailing from the Southernmost Caribbean Island of Trinidad in 2001, Madhoor arrived at a much bigger island called the United Kingdom (UK) as an international student nurse to undertake her Bachelor of Nursing (Honours). After graduating, Madhoor began her career within the Endoscopy and Gastroenterology specialities. In 2015 she obtained a Master of Science in Advanced Practice Gastrointestinal Nursing at King’s College, London. Madhoor is currently the lead Specialist Screening Practitioner (SSP) for the Bowel Cancer Screening Service Centre at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Madhoor also has over 14 years’ experience as a lead Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for Inflammatory Bowel Disease, working and collaborating with allied healthcare professionals and patients across the globe.
Madhoor has a passion for providing compassionate and quality care while ensuring the individual needs and preferences of each patient is met by tailoring their needs accordingly. Madhoor is also a fellow on the Dame Elizabeth Anionwu Fellowship for Inclusivity in Nursing and Midwifery. When not at work, Madhoor enjoys travelling to new places with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, playing badminton, and reading.
